Mine are 2.5 years apart, and I sometimes find myself thinking, "Ok, now when Emma was Jack's age, she was ..." I am glad that I have one of each gender, though, because in my mind boys and girls are so different that even when I start making comparisons, I don't let those comparisons bother me since boys and girls are supposed to be different. In the end, I think your best bet is to remind yourself that God made us each unique and special, so it doesn't really matter when we reach milestones--we've all got our own path.
